Tuesday, Nov. 13, the talent of the Rangely High School drama class was on full display as the students took the stage in the high school’s production of “Willy Wonka.” The play was an adaptation of the book, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl.
The cast—which included 15 high school students—acted, sang and danced their way into the hearts of their audience. Familiar songs like “The Candy Man,” “I Found a Golden Ticket” and the “Oompah Loompah” ensembles echoed throughout the auditorium. The fun-loving and childish nature of the story was perfectly executed by the brilliant young people of Rangely.
This is the first musical production that has been put on by the high school students in about five years.
A special thanks to all those who came to support the students. The students are already planning their next production, which will be in the spring of 2019.
