Winterfest 2022 was such a fun and entertaining time for Rangely High School and Junior High students. During the week of the dance, the whole school had four dress up days planned. For Monday’s theme, it was “stereotypical dad day,” where everyone dressed up as their dad, or they wore something that a typical dad would wear. On Tuesday, the dress up theme was “dynamic duos,”where students picked someone to twin with; most people just wore matching shirts, but some went all out and wore the exact same outfits! On Wednesday, it was “anything but a backpack day.” Many RHS students brought suitcases, coolers, and pretty much anything that they could fit their school supplies in. Thursday was “white lie T-shirt day,” where people wore plain white shirts with a white lie that applied to their life. The whole week was a ton of fun, and many students participated in the dress up days.
The Winterfest dance was Jan. 20. Everyone wore matching shirts with the person or people that they went to the dance with. A lot of people were super creative and had a ton of fun designs and sayings on their shirts.
Overall the whole week was really fun, and I think that everyone else would say the same. Everybody was very creative and unique with their ideas for the dress up days. Even a couple of the teachers and staff joined in. Some of the teachers wore matching shirts or outfits for dynamic duo day, and just about everyone participated in the white lie T-shirt day. In my opinion, the week was fun and exciting. Student council hired an awesome DJ for the dance who was able to get most everyone out on the dance floor. The atmosphere was one of friendship and fun, and in the end the week was still a success.
