Leah Wood was one of two Meeker youth to qualify for the National High School Rodeo Championships along with Jessy Pelloni, who finished in the top 20. Wood competed in breakaway roping, catching her first calf in 2.95 seconds. She missed the second calf and finished 60th out of 135 that caught. Her name is regularly on the winners list for the Meeker Summer Rodeo Series. Congratulations, Leah, on your accomplishment!
