MEEKER | The WREA Board held a special board meeting on Sept. 29, 2020, to appoint a director to fill the Town of Meeker District seat left vacant due to Dick Welle’s recent resignation and relocation to Texas. Following the board’s review, Brett Dearman was appointed to fill the remaining two years on Welle’s term. One letter of interest was submitted to the Board following an open call to the membership for letters of interest. Dearman ran for election for the Town of Meeker board earlier in the month at WREA’s annual meeting. Bryce Ducey and Hal Pearce were elected to fill those seats. Dearman will join the regularly scheduled board meeting on Oct. 21, 2020. “We are excited to have Brett join our board. He brings a lot of great experience in the cyber and technology industry as well as a good community perspective,” said board president Hal Pearce.
