The MHS boys’ basketball team officially concluded their 2010-2011 season with the annual parent-hosted banquet. Approximately 60 people attended the function that annually honors outgoing senior players.
After the meal and a slide show recapping the season, head coach Klark Kindler welcomed everyone. Kindler began the program by thanking several people instrumental to the successful season, including scorekeepers, managers, parents, administration, assistants and families. In the absence of assistant coach Matt Dupire, Kindler passed out participation awards to the members of the team who did not get to experience much varsity time.
After the JV awards, Kindler commended each of the four seniors for their leadership and hard work. Jake Nieslanik, Ryan Wix, Cole Steiner and Trevor Matrisciano each received varsity letters and captain’s awards. Additionally, Trey Morris, Ben Fitzgibbons, Nate Walsh, Scott Smith, Dylan Mobley, Jeremy Musgrave, Jake Boesch and Kevin Eli all received varsity letters.
Kindler then announced the recipients of the individual awards for the season.
