MEEKER I Forty-one family members of the late Charles D. and Esme M. Conrado gathered at the YMCA Camp in Estes Park to pay tribute to and share memories of two wonderful, loving parents. The five siblings gathered with their spouses and offspring Aug. 12-15. This was a reunion 18 months in the making.
The families in attendance were: Mary Ann (Conrado) and Jerry Seely from Meeker, Douglas and Kris Seely, Kendra, Taylor, and Bradee from Loveland.
Peggy (Conrado) and Lonnie Shults from Meeker, Amy and Kevin Shearrow and Jay from Grand Junction, Todd and Michele Shults, Aimee, Lauryn, and Tanner from Meeker.
Brian Conrado and Kate from Meeker, Kelly Conrado, Chance, Paige, and Ivy from Hudson, Kirk Conrado and Brooks from Tempe, Ariz., and Kerry Conrado from Dallas.
Kathy (Conrado) and Gary Mundy from El Paso, Texas. Nici and Fred King, Maya and Cole from El Paso, Texas.
Joe Conrado and Kelly from Meeker, Katie Conrado from Meeker, Danny and Ellen Conrado, Sam and Bradley from Meeker, and Sarah and Matt Printz from Belgrade, Montana.
The five siblings and families told many a story about growing up in Meeker; albeit, only one of the five siblings (Joe) was actually born in Meeker. There was much laughing surrounding the lore and love of our family. The setting was magnificent. The site set away from home enabled all of the family to enjoy visiting and take time out of our busy lives. We departed with many happy moments to hold fast in our hearts. “You will find as you look back on your life that the moments when you have really lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love,” the 19th century English writer Henry Drummond wrote.
