MEEKER I The Meeker Education Foundation will hold its second annual benefit dinner and auction Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Freeman Fairfield Center.
The event raises funds for grant awards for staff and student academic/activity opportunities and classroom needs.
The MEF leveraged the earnings from last year’s inaugural event to provide $40,000 for staff and student grant awards for the 2015-2016 school year.
Sunday’s benefit will feature food (prepared by Elk Creek Ranch’s Scott Creecy) and entertainment by the elementary school’s Marimba Band and the Meeker High School Choir, a high school art and woodworking display, door prizes and an auction.
Tickets will be available at the door for $25 each, $40 a couple, $10 for students and youths 5 years and under are free.
