Elk Foundation dinner set for Saturday

MEEKER I The local chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elks Foundation will hold its annual banquet on Saturday at the Fairfield Center in Meeker.
The doors will open for social hour at 5 p.m. with dinner being served at approximately 6 p.m. The event has been sold out, member Greg Glasgow reported Wednesday.
This is the 20th year of the local banquet for the RMEF, which raises money for national and local elk-related projects as well as national and local projects that benefit big game and water fowl — all types of wildlife, he said.
