MEEKER | Youth and adults are invited to participate in the many Halloween festivities the ERBM Recreation and Park District has to offer this frightful time of year! Check out the following events for all things spooky, haunted, and fun! Tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 28), youth are invited to the Meeker Recreation Center pool for Halloween themed pool parties. The day starts with the Itty Bitty Spooktacular Party from 9-11 a.m. This party is for youth six and under (children must be accompanied in the water by someone 13 or older). Party cost is $5 for adults and free for the children. The parties continue with the Halloween Splash Bash. K-5th grade youth are invited to swim from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 6th-8th grade youth will swim from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. All children under 8 years old (unless they have passed a swim test) must be supervised in the water by someone 13 years of age of older. Cost is $5 per youth. Halloween Monday, Oct. 31, will be our annual Pumpkins Eats ‘n Treats celebration starting at 4:30 p.m. at the downtown plaza/courthouse lawn. Youth and adults are invited to dress up in their best costume for the costume parade and contest (sign-up at 4:30 p.m.) and go trick-or-treating, provided by many of the local businesses, located at the downtown plaza. Attendees can also scream their way through the haunted house at the Old West Heritage Culture Center (5-7 p.m.) and bring in their carved Halloween pumpkin to be judged at the event (pumpkin drop-off 4:30-5 p.m. at the Pumpkins Eats ‘n Treats stage). ERBM Recreation and Park District thanks the Meeker community for their continued support of our Halloween festivities. We hope to see you at one (or more) of these spooky events.
