RANGELY | Only five wrestlers will represent Rangely High School this season but fourth-year head coach Travis Witherell is excited for the challenge of a small team, which will open the season Saturday in Oak Creek. “We only have five guys this year but I have five guys who work hard, are always ready to learn and they are all coachable,” coach Witherell said. Coach Witherell said Landon Rowley is the only Panther senior on the team this year. “Landon is a tough kid and is always willing to do whatever we ask of him,” coach Witherell said of his senior leader. J.C. Chumacero and Claude Rose will assist with the coaching duties this season. “We are excited to see what our team will accomplish this year, it will be a real gut check to see what we’re made of, having only five guys,” Witherell said. “We will not be hindered by our small numbers, instead we will take it as a challenge to make us better overall.”
