Giving Tree seeks Christmas donations

MEEKER — ‘Tis the season for giving. That’s the hope of the Meeker Giving Tree.
The Giving Tree is a program that provides gifts and needed clothing for needy children.
Applications for the Giving Tree are available through the Meeker United Methodist Church.
The church took over the Giving Tree program in 2007.
“This allowed the Giving Tree to operate as a nonprofit organization and to be able to offer tax deductions for all donations,” Annie Gantt said. “Although we are partially financially supported through MUMC and other area churches, we have no hidden agenda. Our only purpose is to bring joy to children at Christmas.”
Sponsorship ornaments can be picked up from the Giving Tree located at Meeker Drug.
