MEEKER I Community members and friends are cordially invited to participate in the “Hands Around the School” celebration on Friday at 1 p.m. at the historic old elementary school at Fifth and Main streets to commemorate the more than 70-year school history and symbolism of the thousands of Meeker faculty and alumni who attended the school during those years. Participants will be asked to join hands and try to encircle the school if enough participants are able to join the event. A photo will be taken of the group and a register of participation will be available.
