Our class just recently attended the outstanding “Right in your own Backyard” event to raise awareness of our area. We want to thank all the groups who came to provide information. These groups included: The Northwest Colorado Cultural Heritage on Tourism, BLM, Farmers’ Market, Moffat County, Dinosaur Visitor Center, Rifle Chamber of Commerce, Gateway Visitor Center, Meeker Recreation Center and Colorado Outfitters. We also wanted to thank the Forest Service for sharing important information about the danger of forest fires due to beetle kill, Fawn Creek Gallery for the amazing story about “The Dueling Six-guns,” and the town of Rangely for the highly detailed map of the area. We would also like to thank the Meeker Chamber of Commerce for hosting the event.
It was also great when you introduced all the different jobs to our classes. Everyone loved the outstanding gifts. That was our favorite part! It was fun and educational at the same time.
