Letter: Math teacher gets thanks from family

We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Cockley. This year he taught middle school math and we noticed a big improvement in our son’s math grades. Mr. Cockley showed him many simple tricks to solve problem, which opened up new doors for learning. Mr. Cockley, in our opinion, is a great asset to the school system and it would be a shame to lose him. Even though our son will be in high school next year, we have several nieces on their way to and through middle school. We feel fortunate our son had the opportunity to have him as a teacher; we only hope many more Meeker School District students will have the privilege of finding out what a great teacher he is.
