Dear Editor:
I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all who attended the open house at The Upstairs Gallery over the Dec. 7 weekend. I truly appreciate the support and encouragement you have shown for me and the fine artisans from this area over the years. As you might suspect, art is not always the easiest way to make a living. I would like to thank Mary K and Albert Krueger for humoring me and graciously making the new gallery room possible, and Marianne Wilber — valued friend and designer extraordinaire for helping me to hang the new space. Kudos are also due to Katie Conrado, Tim Knouff and Maggie Granzella for contributing beautiful creations to the show, helping to set up and hold down the “fort,” and just generally keeping me sane… well-sort of. Most of all thank you to everyone for stopping in to say hello over what was a very busy weekend. You continue to help art in all its forms flourish in this community. Thank you from my heart to all of you who graced The Upstairs Gallery with their presence this past weekend.
