Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to express my support for Mike Joos for Rio Blanco County Sheriff.
After serving eight years as a member of the Rangely Town Council and presently my second term as mayor, I have been closely involved with the Rangely Police Department and Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Department and have found Sheriff Sy Woodruff and Undersheriff Mike Joos to be excellent law enforcement officers.
Under their leadership, I have found the Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Department to have an excellent working relationship with the Rangely Police Department and the citizens of Rangely and would like to see that continue. I feel quite confident that this is also true with Meeker.
I have found Mike Joos to be a very honest and fair man with everyone he deals with. I think Mike will make an excellent sheriff for all of the citizens of Rio Blanco County and ask that you will support him to be our next sheriff.
