Drilling leases released in the Rio Blanco Lake/Piceance Creek area mean a business boost for Meeker and Rangely. Outdoor Life’s story about the best places to live, commented on by Bobby Gutierez in last week’s Herald Times, puts Rio Blanco County in the middle of “the best.” On Saturday evening, Canyon Pintado was featured on Colorado Getaways, on Denver TV’s channel 4. Now, if that wasn’t enough, Colorado Heritage Tourism had a four-page ad in Sunday’s Denver Post which included a map showing the locations of the Dinosaur Diamond and the Flat Tops Trail. The travel section of the Post also had a story about rafting through The Dinosaur National Monument. Is this a great place to live, or what?The Rangely Chamber is searching for a director.
