A simple graveside dedication service is being held — attended only by family and intimate friends — for Farrell Charles Lieber and Virginia Adeline Lieber at 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at Highland Cemetery in Meeker.
Farrell Charles Lieber was laid to rest on Oct. 21, 1994, and had an honor guard of veterans fire a 21-gun last salute. He was a World War II serviceman.
Virginia Adeline Lieber was laid to rest on Oct. 30, 2005. The Hayden Chapter No. 99 Order of the Eastern Star will honor her memory with an Eastern Star graveside service.
As my Father’s and Mother’s eldest daughter, I was in attendance at both of their memorial services at the time of their deaths. This dedication service was not noticed to myself or my brother Charles. I am not familiar with a dedication to the gravesites under my parents faiths. Although, I do have estranged sisters who are obsessed with death, so I would assume this is the purpose of this loving tribute, minus two of the children of Farrell and Virginia. Something, I am sure they (my parents) would be proud of the family and intimate friends arranging without invitation to Mary or Charles.
