MEEKER I Feb. 23 was the Meeker Beef Club’s weigh-in and prospect show.
Ed Coryell was nice enough to volunteer his services at the scales.
The Rio Blanco County Extension Office provided pizzas for lunch and hired a judge for the show. This is a good chance for 4-H and FFA members to gain experience showing their calves.
Samantha Lapp from Rangely had the champion prospect steer and Anna Walsh from Meeker had the reserve champion. Samantha also won the Senior Showmanship and Kolbi Franklin was the winner of the Junior Showmanship.
