From left, newly re-elected Meeker Mayor Regas Halandras, re-elected Town Council member Travis Day and new town Council member Melissa Kindall took their oaths of office at the Meeker Town Council meeting on Tuesday evening, sworn into office by Meeker Town Clerk Lisa Cook. Halandras and Day are beginning their second terms in office. Newly elected Town Council member Wendy Gutierrez, who was not available to be sworn in as she was attending economic development training on the Front Range, along with a few other Meeker business people, will be sworn into office May 3.

From left, Meeker Town Administrator Scott Meszaros, Meeker Police Chief Bob Hervey and Town Attorney Melody Massih were sworn into office by Meeker Town Clerk Lisa Cook at Tuesday evening’s Meeker Town Council meeting. The appointments of these town officers must be formally made and the individuals must take the oath of office along with the seating of new and re-elected town council members.
