At Saturday’s 83rd annual Meeker Volunteer Fire and Rescue Banquet, there was the annual ritual to slice the anniversary cake, cut by the newest member in Ronda Morgan, left, and the oldest member present in Dale Frisby, center, while Fire Chief Marshall Cook looks on.
There was a good crowd on hand at the Fairfield Center for the prime rib/chicken catered by Holliday’s. The 44 active members were present to receive certificates noting how long they had been part of the department.
