Kenneth Wade Keeble, who was raised in Meeker, passed away with his wife, Gay, at his side March 6, 2008, in Kingman, Ariz. He suffered complications from pneumonia. He was born in 1924.
He grew up in Meeker raising and breaking horses for his parent’s dude ranch in the mountains.
He served in the Navy in World War II and was in the battle of Pearl Harbor.
In 1949 he married Barbara June Case of Colorado. They later moved to Wyoming. He worked for True Drilling most of his life. They had three daughters, Sheryl, Gail and Karen.
In 1974 they divorced and he later married Francis Gay. They spent time traveling with his job and enjoyed trips visiting family and friends throughout the west. They retired to Kingman, Ariz., where they enjoyed country life.
He had a pet horse named Dunny that he trained to do tricks fit for any rodeo show. They had a good marriage and his wife always knew Ken would take care of her.
Kenny thoroughly enjoyed his five grandchildren and visited them when he was able.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond; a daughter, Gail and a grandson, “Little John” Bell.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Gay Keeble of Kingman, Ariz., to whom he was married to for 33 years; two daughters: Sheryl (Keeble) Bell and her husband Jock
and sons Sean and Scott of Casper, Wyo.; Karen (Keeble) Kreul, of Gillette, Wyo., her son Vincent Kreul of Huntsville, Ala.; son Dallas of Gillette and daughter Karessa of Gillette, Wyo.
He was very loved and will be missed.
His ashes will be in Meeker, Colo., with a marker and also scattered over Trappers Lake in Colorado.
