Mike broke his earthly bonds, beginning his trip to heaven on Jan. 27, 2014, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Naples, Fla.
Micheal was born in Meeker, Colo., to Sam and Jean Lockhart. He attended school there until 1997, when he moved with his parents to Montrose, Colo.
Micheal is survived by: one son, Ethan Isaiah; his parents; two sisters, Tammy (Ron) Biorn of Bozeman, Mont., and Sandra (Bentley) Henderson of Basalt, Colo.; a brother, Charles (Kathy) Lockhart of Arvada Colo.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins. He left a host of friends here and in Florida, where he has lived for several years.
Mike loved outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking and riding his motorcycle.
A memorial service will be planned for later this summer in the Meeker area. A memorial fund has been set up to help with motorcycle safety issues in the Naples, Fla. area.
