Obituary: Trevor Allen McCoy

Trevor McCoy
Trevor McCoy
Trevor Allen McCoy, 29, and independent welder/fabricator and owner of TM Welding, LLC, went to be home with his Lord on Monday, May 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.

Trevor spent his last days surrounded by the spring beauty of the Kansas Flint Hills doing the things he loved the most with his family and friends to the moment of his untimely death.
Trevor had a big heart and a quick smile; he was a hard worker, loyal friend, brother and son, living life to its fullest every day. His zest for life was contagious.
Growing up, his passions were sports and the outdoors. He played varsity soccer at Wichita Southeast and Independent schools and club soccer as a tenacious defender for the Air Capital B-1 Bombers.
Trevor learned his love for the outdoors on family vacations to the lake and hunting and fishing with his father; his life-long companion in the field.
Trevor was skilled with his hands, working as an oilfield weldor for Sterling Drilling Co. in Pratt before becoming an independent weldor doing oilfield and ranch welding. Work took him to Meeker, Colo., where he recently moved and established TM Welding, LLC. Trevor quickly made friends and established business relationships in his new community.
Trevor will be dearly missed.
He is survived by: his father and stepmother, Kevin and Christine McCoy of Wichita, Kan.; his mother, Susan McCoy; brothers Ryan McCoy of Wichita and Christian McCoy of Bozeman, Mont.; stepsister, Courtney Peters of Denver, Colo.; stepbrother Jake Peters of Wichita, Kan.; his grandparents, Roger and Kathy Gann McCoy of Wichita, Kan., and Orin and Ruby Baker of Andover, Kan.; step-grandparents, Susan and Bernie McGuire and Carl and Jane Tate; and his constant companion and dog, Chloe.
Please send donations to the Wichita Community Foundation, 301 N Main St., Ste. 100, Wichita, Kan. 67202 for the Trevor McCoy Scholarship for Wildlife Management.
