MEEKER I Pioneers Healthcare Foundation announced Tuesday that the 2015 Healthcare Scholarship applications are now available.
The deadline for applying for the scholarships is April 10, and the applications are available at pioneershealthfoundation.org/about-us/news/
There are several scholarship opportunities: If you are a high school senior starting your college career and are pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related field; or if you are a continuing student working on your associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field, we invite you to complete an application.
Additionally, the Kris Borchard Strive for Excellence Scholarship application is available. If you have completed your bachelors degree and are working on an advanced degree, masters or medical school (for example: nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy, medical school, etc.), we invite you to apply. This scholarship is a renewable scholarship for up to four years.
“We are thrilled to be offering $3,500 in healthcare-related scholarships this year,” said Margie Joy, executive director of the Pioneers Healthcare Foundation. “The program has helped many Meeker residents get started in their healthcare career.”
Almost $35,000 in scholarships has been awarded since the program started in 2008. The program has assisted many successful recipients such as certified nurse’s assistants who have completed their bachelor of nursing degrees.
“We couldn’t offer the scholarship program without great community support,” Joy said. “We appreciate the support of the many organizations that have supported the program over the years.”
