According to Frank Sampson of White River Electric, the device failed and “tripped out the whole town.” Everything went dark just after sunset for about 45 minutes. “It was a pretty good little event,” Sampson said. White River Electric Association linemen went to work immediately to isolate the source of the outage and make the necessary repairs.
