MEEKER I The calendar is set for this year’s Range Call Celebration and it will be a fun-filled four days featuring Blackhawk and Ned LeDoux in concert.
The weekend will kick off with the re-enactment of the Pageant at dusk on Friday, July 1.
Individuals interested in participating in the pageant are invited to join the practices, which will be June 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and June 30 at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 2 will see vendors and fun downtown for the whole family to enjoy.
The afternoon and evening activities are all at the Meeker Fairgrounds beginning with a hypnotist at 2 p.m., a Colorado Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) rodeo at 3 p.m. and the Ned LeDoux concert starting at 7 p.m., followed by BlackHawk and a barn dance to follow.
For Sunday, July 3, the vendors, bouncy houses, live music, a hypnotist and fun children’s attractions like zip lines will be going on downtown all morning and into the late afternoon.
The CPRA night rodeo will begin at 6 p.m. with a barn dance to follow.
Monday, July 4 will be another action-packed day beginning with the 5K run and walk race, and the Meeker Fourth of July Parade set to begin at 10 a.m..
After the parade, the 3-on-3 Main Street Madness basketball compeition will begin at 11:45 a.m. Also going on will be the Plein Air Art Auction and the Rio Blanco Historical Society will stage its Meeker bank robbery re-enactment at 1 p.m.
The Ranch Rodeo Calcutta begins at the fairgrounds at 2 p.m., with the rodeo scheduled for 3 p.m.
The weekend celebration will conclude with the fireworks show at dusk.
