MEEKER I Winners of the ninth annual Scrub Shirt Classic, a 5K walk and run, and a one mile run, sponsored by Pioneers Medical Center are as follows:
Men’s 5K: first – Kent Walter, second – Matt Ward, third – Pat Hughes.
Women’s 5K: first – Kris Casey, second – Kendra Ward, third – Jessica Berthelson.
Youths 5K: first – Codey Follman, second – Damien Kent, third – Tasos Halandras.
5K Walkers: first – Denise Sheridan, second – Hallie Blunt, third – Janet Hayes.
One Mile Run: first – Jill Ward (four years old), second – Cameron Hanberg, third – Ryan Hanberg.
According to Margie Joy of Pioneers Medical Center, there were 158 participants, an increase of more than 30 compared to last year.
“We raised $2,000 that will go toward the new hospital’s chemotherapy services program.”
