Billy Estes, possibly the oldest softball player in Rio Blanco County, pitched two more winning games in Meeker against Shepherds and Pioneers Medical Center at Paintbrush Park. Estes is the team captain for the defending champions, Rangely True Value Hardware. Games are played Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Paintbrush Park.
The season has started for the Rangely under-10 fast pitch softball team and all are rookies to the game. “They are doing great,” head coach Paul Fortunato said.
The 2014 Coed Softball League, sponsored by the ERBM Recreation and Park District, started Monday with seven teams, including one from Rangely. Games will be played Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Paintbrush Park.
