MEEKER — The Meeker Elementary School students lost their marbles Feb 4.
The students were challenged during the month of January to check out 2,008 books from the library. If they met the challenge, Kay Bivens, school librarian, would construct a grand marble run in the gym along with an obstacle course. The challenge was the best that we have had in the five years we have been having the marble run.
The students and staff checked out 2,214 books. Bivens constructed three runs for the students to pour marbles down and have a good time rolling and chasing marbles down the tubes and switchbacks. A big thank you to Deb Cook, Jennie Jones and Claire Dupire for all the help.
