Summer concert season begins June 19

MEEKER — Canned Haggis will kick off the 2009 summer entertainment season, co-sponsored by the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District and Meeker Hotel and Cafe.
The concert will be at 6 p.m. Friday, June 19 in Meeker, on the lawn of the Rio Blanco County Courthouse at 550 Main St.
Canned Haggis performs Scottish and Irish instrumental and vocal songs and is led by Scottish-trained bagpiper Scott Beach, and Gina Lance, dubbed the “best Celtic fiddle player in Colorado” in 2006 by Westword Magazine.
The concert is free, and concertgoers are reminded to bring their own seating.
