Third Meeker Energy Expo is Sept. 22

MEEKER I Geologist Jim Burnell will be the speaker at the third annual Energy Expo, sponsored by the Meeker Chamber of Commerce and energy companies doing business in the area.
Burnell is a mining and mineral geologist with Colorado Geological Survey and senior minerals geologist with the state of Colorado. The Energy Expo will be Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Fairfield Center. The event is free and open to the public. The expo will include exhibits from at least 20 vendors and energy representatives will be on hand to answer questions from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Burnell will speak during the free luncheon at 12:15 p.m. and again during the free Lions Club cookout at 5:45. In the afternoon, he will speak to Meeker High School juniors and seniors from 1:15 to 2 p.m.
