County to appoint TAG for master planning
RBC — The Rio Blanco County Board of Commissioners will appoint a Technical Advisory Group to assist the Planning Commission with the completion of the new County Master Plan.
Comments sought on Milk Creek allotments
RBC — The USDA Forest Service is seeking comments concerning a proposal to reissue the term grazing permit on the Milk Creek domestic sheep grazing allotment.
Rangely residents called to LDS mission in Vietnam
RANGELY — Mark and Pam Berrett of Rangely have accepted a mission call for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will serve in the Cambodia-Phnom Penh area mission.
Rangely District Hospital adds bone density screening machine
RANGELY — No longer will people have to wait for bone density testing. A traveling bone density machine used to come to Rangely District Hospital every two months. Now, screening can be done three days a week. Thanks to a new bone testing machine.
Town may allow digital
MEEKER — Based on a citizen’s request that the Meeker Municipal Code allow digital display type signs, the town of Meeker has drafted the proposed amendment to the Meeker Sign Ordinance to allow Message Center Display (digital) signs.

RANGELY — It was quite the week for the Panther squad as they had a couple of wins early in the week and then finished on a sour note in Manila.

MEEKER — Several youth from Meeker took part in the Rifle Elk Club Hoop Shoot in Rifle on Sunday.
Cowboy wrestlers fall to Glenwood
MEEKER — The Cowboy wrestling team won half of the varsity matches wrestled against the Glenwood Springs Demons last Friday. But 36 points in forfeits left the Cowboys on the short end of the 21-58 final score.
Meeker girls win another pair
MEEKER — The Lady Cowboy basketball team won two more games last week, including a league game against Vail Christian at home last Saturday. Meeker also hosted Hayden Tuesday, in a non-league game and will play in Colbran Friday, before hosting South Routt County (Soroco) this Saturday.
