Twenty-eight area youths participated in the 2016 Denver Nuggets Skills Challenge on Jan. 23 in Meeker. Hosted by the ERBM Recreation & Park District, the event featured a basketball skills competition in dribbling, passing and shooting. Youth ages seven years to 14 competed for the chance to advance to the sectionals in Grand Junction on Feb. 21, and ages 5/6 competed for fun.
