4-H sheep, goat growers

MEEKER I The meeting was called to order on Feb. 7, 2012, at 6:59 p.m. Macy Collins called roll. In the treasurer’s account we have $1764.12. The lamb and goat weigh-in is May 8. New members and new seniors need to take the wholesome quality meat training on Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. If you have any questions call the extension office.
The club members signed a card for Rayola Rust and discussed the amount of money that we could donate to her. We decided on $300.
The Colby Holeyfield Memorial jackpot will be June 23.
The committee meeting will be held Feb. 17. Some members had questions of what a jackpot was, so we explained what a jackpot was. We discussed if we should have animal bedding and we voted yes. We also agreed that we could have soft muzzles. We played a game where we answered questions about the basics of sheep and goat projects.
