Jerry Earl Moomey

Jerry Earl Moomey passed away on Sept. 15, 2019, at his home in Meeker, Colorado. He was the eldest son of Harry F. Sr. and Mary Mercedece Sapp Moomey, born March 9, 1936, in Eldorado, Butler County, Kansas.
Jerry served in the United States Army in Korea, and was also stationed in Germany. He married Goldia Brenton on Oct. 14, 1963 and again on July 15, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jerry worked in the oil fields for many years, in many positions, for many oil companies.
He dearly loved his family, doing genealogy, fishing, hunting, and visiting with his many friends.
He leaves one brother, Harry F (Butch) Moomey Jr. and his wife Betty; wife Goldia—56 happy years of marriage; seven children: Karen A Moomey, Elliot, (“Eddie”) of Hobbs, New Mexico; Carl and Kelly Moomey, Theresa Moomey, Judy Simon, all of Meeker, Colorado. Rusty and Anne Moomey of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Darrell and Peggy Moomey of Evergreen, Colorado, and Jere J. (Toby) Moomey Hagin of Grand Junction, Colorado, and spouse Tim; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and many more family and friends.
A “Celebration of Life” will be in the spring of 2020. It will be announced at a later date.
A Awesome guy and friends, we had many fun times together always laughter. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
