RANGELY | Eighth grade volleyball traveled to DeBeque on Friday. 8B started a little slow losing the first game 25-21, but rallied back to win the game with the score of 25-18 sending them to game three. Game three started slow and gave up many points early in a rotation that we just couldn’t get back. Karlee Halcomb led the way in serving, along with Alyson Polley doing a great job stepping up and being a leader. 8A came away with the win in two games with scores of 25-19, and 25-23. Ryann Mergelman led the way in serving with 14 points in the game. The girls traveled to Soroco on Saturday. 8B came away with the win in two games. Emme Wagner and Alli Coker did a great job hitting the ball and quite a few kills, coming from great sets by Karlee Halcomb. Paolia Munoz did a great job at the net. 8A also came away with the win in two games with the score of 25-16, 25-19. Kaitlyn Cox did a great job stepping up and serving early and getting us on a roll early. Laurie Ward did a nice job stepping in for a couple of big plays. Rangely will host Hayden on Saturday at RJSHS starting at 9 a.m.
