More than 25 seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball teams from Meeker, Rangely, Craig, Hayden, East Grand (Granby), North Park (Walden), West Grand (Kremmling), Soroco (Oak Creek) and Steamboat Springs played in both high school gyms, as well as the elementary school. The Rangely Middle School seventh-grade A-team won the seventh-grade championship by defeating the host team in three games. Kudos to Barone Middle School athletic/activities director Kris Casey for bracketing the tournaments and guaranteeing each team at least two matches.
