Letter: Sponsors donated prizes for derby

The annual Kenney Reservoir Fishing Derby was held June 5. The event is sponsored by the Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District and the Colorado Division of Wildlife. This year’s event was attended by 48 participants: 25 in the 0-8 year group, eight in the 9-12 year group, one in the 13-16 age group, 12 in the 17 and up age group and two in the 60 and up age group. Trout, sunfish, crappie, catfish and carp were all entered for prizes. As special thanks to Cabela’s, Gene Taylor’s Sporting Goods, Roaring Fork Anglers, Sportsman’s Warehouse, NAPA Auto Parts, Kum and Go, Rangely True Value and Western Anglers for donating prizes to this event. Because of their generosity every participant receives something for their efforts.
