Letter: Thanks to Officer Mike Washburn

As an EMT and a citizen of Meeker, I would like to send a special “thank you” to Mike Washburn for all the times he goes above and beyond the call of duty. When Mike is on duty and available, he always answers an EMS/fire page with the stopping of traffic for the crews to leave safely from the fire house and also stops traffic for the ambulance while en route back to town with a patient. This makes leaving the fire house and transporting patients so much safer for the EMS/fire crews, community and people passing through. I can only hope that more officers will join in with Mike in this noble action.
