“Home of” 411: April 24, 2008

MEEKER — Meeker residents Tim and Cindy Nelson are this week’s “home of” honorees. The Nelsons have lived here since June 2006. They have been married 10 years.
Tim works for Xcel Energy. Cindy is employed by Meeker School District in the food service department and as a part-time custodian. Their daughter Kendra is 9-years-old and a third-grader at Meeker Elementary School.
The family enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, golfing and other outdoor activities.
When asked what she likes most about Meeker, Cindy replied, “ The small town environment has been really good for us. We can walk anywhere we want to go. People are very welcoming and the wildlife, deer in the front yard — pretty cool!”
