Kacey Ann Pozorski was born Feb 9, 2006, in Stearns County, St. Cloud, Minn., to Kurt and Jackie Pozorski. She was baptized May 5, 2006, at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater, Minn.
Kacey moved to Meeker with her parents in August 2007, where they lived at 1280 Cleveland St. ever since. Kacey was diagnosed 13 months ago with a brain stem tumor called Diffuse Pontine Glioma. She fought very hard and longer than doctors anticipated. Unfortunately, she lost the battle on March 29, 2011, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends.
Kacey enjoyed being in the presence of loved ones and she sure knew how to make you laugh and smile. She loved to play outside, have bonfires and most of all dressing as a princess. Kacey has touched many people in her life and will be missed dearly.
Kacey is survived by parents Kurt and Jackie Pozorski of Meeker, uncle and aunt Ryan and Dawn Pozorski of Meeker, grandparents Tim and Cindy Nelson of Meeker and John and Dona Pozorski of St. Cloud, Minn., Cindy Brown of Foley, Minn., and Kent and Sharon Booth of St. Augusta, Minn., and most importantly her four-legged friends Jasmine (dog) and Thumper (cat).
A memorial service will be held at the Meeker United Methodist Church Friday, April 8, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Mountain Valley Bank.
