RANGELY | Mark and Bertha Tolley of Rangely are this week’s “home of” honorees.
Mark and Bertha have lived in Rangely for seven years. Mark’s mother Aileen Tolley, brother Sam Tolley and sister Aileen Moore also reside in Rangely.
Mark and Bertha’s 25th “silver” wedding anniversary was Tuesday. “We’re celebrating by going to Grand Junction for dinner, a movie and buying a new bedroom set,” Bertha said.
Mark works for Chevron. Bertha is a stay-at-home mom and homemaker.
The Tolleys have one daughter, Jessica, 13. Jessica will be a freshman at Rangely Junior/Senior High School in the fall.
Mark and Bertha like to hunt, explore the area on their 4-wheelers, hike, camp and fish. “We live on the river, so we can fish out our back door,” added Bertha. Bertha is involved with her daughter’s activities. She volunteers at school and has volunteered for Christmasfest for two years. Bertha enjoys photography. She also has kept a collection of memorabilia and pictures from each of their 25 wedding anniversary trips and/or dinners.
Mark was able to go to Africa 10 years ago on a “once-in-a-lifetime” hunting safari with his brother Sam, brother Frank, Frank’s wife Tina and their son Patrick.
Bertha likes living in Rangely. “I like the people. I talk to everyone. I love the small town,” she said.
Congratulations to Mark and Bertha on your milestone “silver” wedding anniversary!
