Pontine, Shelton seeded first

MEEKER — Devon Pontine and T.J. Shelton both have been traveling to Craig to work out with the Bad Dogs wrestling club two times a week since early November.
Both boys have attended tournaments with the Bad Dogs and wrestled 12-and-under in the Intermountain League taking first in 100-and-under and 95-and-under at Leadville and Eagle Valley.
Pontine and Shelton also have join the Next Level Golden Legion team out of Golden, Colo., coached by Ray Wood of Meeker to compete in the eastern slope tournaments. The boys have travel the last two weekends to the eastern slope for tournaments in Colorado Springs and Broomfield that have seeded them in state.
Pontine, 10-and-under, 100 pounds, is 5-0 with three pins. Shelton, 10-and-under, 95 pounds, is 7-0 with seven pins. Both boys have taken first in these tournaments.
