Habitat enhancement project started

MEEKER I The Forest Service started working on 300 acres of mechanical fuels treatments on the “Aldrich Lakes Wildlife Habitat Enhancement Project” on Oct. 1. The site for this 300-acre habitat enhancement project is located approximately 19 miles north of Meeker and approximately the same distance south of Craig, Colo., on National Forest System lands. The treatment units are located around the Aldrich Lakes area.
