Rangely Animal Shelter receives donation…

The Rangely National Junior Honor Society presented an $800 check to Rangely Animal Shelter on Feb. 20. Donations have been presented for the last six years and the money comes from a coin drive at Rangely Middle School. The drive was a competition between the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade classes. Each grade brought in coins to put in their class jars to add to the total. The eighth-grade class won and received a movie during school. “This is the largest local donation ever,” said Vicky Pfennig, director of the Rangely Animal Shelter. “It will help us pay for shots, surgery, supplies and ID chips for all the animals.”
