Letter to the Editor: No pot sales a good thing

Dear Editor:
This is an open letter to the Meeker Town Board.
I approve of your action to stop sales of pot here in Meeker.
I guess the thing I worry about the most is the message we would be sending our young people. It is sad to consider that people need to get high or get drunk to have a good time.
I suspect legal pot is causing the police as much trouble as legal liquor.
Perhaps we are a “say no” community, but have you noticed in the last few years how many people are not willing to say “no” to anything, whether it is good for our children or our community?
