MEEKER I The Meeker Chamber of Commerce released the names of the winners in Friday night’s Parade of Lights in downtown Meeker.
In addition to the parade, students from the Meeker Girls’ Choir performed Christmas carols, the Town of Meeker’s Christmas tree was lit in front of the Rio Blanco County Courthouse and a brief fireworks display was presented.
Winner of the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Best of Show Award was the Pioneers Medical Center float; the “Clark Griswold” Brightest Float Award was presented to Meeker Sand and Gravel; and the Santa’s Elves Choice Award went to the White River National Forest Blanco Ranger District float, complete with Smokey the Bear.
