MEEKER 4-H ACHIEVEMENT …

Meeker 4-H hosted its Achievement Night on Thursday, Nov. 18. The theme for the night was “Land Locked Luau” complete with pulled pork and all the fixings. The group honored those who have worked hard and volunteered their time throughout the year. In other 4-H related news, the Fair Board is exploring moving the county fair dates one week earlier. | Courtesy photos

SAYING THANKS …

Rio Blanco County 4-H took time to thank the veterans of our county for their time and service. The Rangely 4-H Achievement Night for 2021 was hosted on Veterans Day and 4-H’rs served local veterans a meal and honored them for the holiday. In honor of the Rangely veterans, the Meeker VFW sponsored poppies for the Rangely 4-Hers to wear as a surprise to honor their guests for the evening. Each VFW was given a limited-edition teddy bear with the embroidered words “My Hero” and “Colorado 4-H Supports our Military” and a framed picture of Rio Blanco County 4-H members as a thank you. Rio Blanco County 4-H salutes all of our military veterans, thank you for your service. | Courtesy photos
