Cowboys cross-country runs in Steamboat, Craig

MEEKER — Five athletes, three girls and two boys are competing on the Meeker High School cross-country team this year and have ran in two meets.
Erica and Tracey Roybal, along with Krystal Otwell all ran in Steamboat Springs, with Erica placing eighth with a time of 25:52, while Otwell placed 12th and Tracey Roybal 14th.
Terrance Casias finished sixth in Steamboat Springs with a time of 20:39, with Keenan Walter right behind him in seventh place.
Only Tracey Roybal ran in Craig last Saturday, with Erica and Krystal both injured. Roybal took off almost four minutes off her time, completing the race in 28:08.
Casias also took time off his first meet but placed 18th in the larger field. Walter finished in 28th place.
